Love Stories - Famous?

Once again after a year, it’s time that I have decided to jot down my thoughts... with a hope it’s not the last time I write something this year and continue writing in this space... (hopefully regularly)!!!

The topic I choose today is something we all know about and love to hear about - "Love Stories"... certainly a topic that has been lingering in my mind since some time which is the reason why it’s been put into words. We've all heard about love stories.. Some of us experienced them in real life, a few see it in others lives, while others just believe in them and live their own Love Story.

However the most famous Love Stories of all times that come to our mind when ever spoken of are Romeo-Juliet, Heer-Ranjha, Laila-Majnu, and Saleem-Anarkali...etc. But ever wondered what was it that made these lovers sooo famous? Was it the love? The sacrifice? Their fight for their love? The opposition by the society? But these are the things that many lovers face during their various stages of relationship.. Some make it to the "happily wedded life" and some just lose hope n give up. Then what was it that made these love stories so famous even though they were just like any other normal lovers one sees/experiences around them?

My abstract/weird/different thoughts looked at them with a different angle; there was something common that I saw in these Love Stories. Even though they did everything of the above, yet they never met or were not allowed to meet. They sacrificed their life in order to be with one another, yet it never happened that they could be together. This is the only reason why, these love stories have become famous. Think of any famous lovers who are stated an example of true love; they were never allowed to live happily together. Thinking of the most divine form of love ever mentioned in the Hindu mythology, Radha-Krishna, they too had to stay apart and live separately to perform their respective duties towards their spouses.. weird yet true...a question that always hit me... Even though Radha truly loved Krishna why did he not marry her... guess their love story had to be famous ?? (to be taken as light humour and not as direct attack to religious beliefs)

Not that I stand by the thought that other love stories are not true or there is no love in them, but they are definitely not famous. They end up being just another simple sweet love story.
Also, Again I'm not encouraging any famous love story incidents for your love story to hit the charts, neither am I vouching for the not so successful relationships as true love.. As they might just have been infatuations, attractions, desires, fun time, time pass... with a "little" bit of love..
So all you lovers out there.. See where your love story falls in.. And I hope that it surely becomes successful even though it may not be famous ... ;)

Keep Smiling

Loads a LOVE (stories)
