Love Stories - Famous?

Once again after a year, it’s time that I have decided to jot down my thoughts... with a hope it’s not the last time I write something this year and continue writing in this space... (hopefully regularly)!!!

The topic I choose today is something we all know about and love to hear about - "Love Stories"... certainly a topic that has been lingering in my mind since some time which is the reason why it’s been put into words. We've all heard about love stories.. Some of us experienced them in real life, a few see it in others lives, while others just believe in them and live their own Love Story.

However the most famous Love Stories of all times that come to our mind when ever spoken of are Romeo-Juliet, Heer-Ranjha, Laila-Majnu, and Saleem-Anarkali...etc. But ever wondered what was it that made these lovers sooo famous? Was it the love? The sacrifice? Their fight for their love? The opposition by the society? But these are the things that many lovers face during their various stages of relationship.. Some make it to the "happily wedded life" and some just lose hope n give up. Then what was it that made these love stories so famous even though they were just like any other normal lovers one sees/experiences around them?

My abstract/weird/different thoughts looked at them with a different angle; there was something common that I saw in these Love Stories. Even though they did everything of the above, yet they never met or were not allowed to meet. They sacrificed their life in order to be with one another, yet it never happened that they could be together. This is the only reason why, these love stories have become famous. Think of any famous lovers who are stated an example of true love; they were never allowed to live happily together. Thinking of the most divine form of love ever mentioned in the Hindu mythology, Radha-Krishna, they too had to stay apart and live separately to perform their respective duties towards their spouses.. weird yet true...a question that always hit me... Even though Radha truly loved Krishna why did he not marry her... guess their love story had to be famous ?? (to be taken as light humour and not as direct attack to religious beliefs)

Not that I stand by the thought that other love stories are not true or there is no love in them, but they are definitely not famous. They end up being just another simple sweet love story.
Also, Again I'm not encouraging any famous love story incidents for your love story to hit the charts, neither am I vouching for the not so successful relationships as true love.. As they might just have been infatuations, attractions, desires, fun time, time pass... with a "little" bit of love..
So all you lovers out there.. See where your love story falls in.. And I hope that it surely becomes successful even though it may not be famous ... ;)

Keep Smiling

Loads a LOVE (stories)

Effect of Death on Human Mind !!

It’s been a long time.. and... It’s the time to publish my first post of 2009..

The year, 2009, as per the Hindu calendar, is stated to be "Virodhi nama samvatsara" meaning - the year of doubts , opposition, change....

My personal observation over the last few days is a common news I'm hearing -
DEATH

Death of an acquaintance, death of a relative, death of a friend, death of a superstar......etc. A person’s death makes us fall more in love with the person. No matter how much we disliked the person and their activities, we still connect to the happy moments and all the positive times of their lives. Rare is an occasion that we mention about the negatives.

The question that arises in mind here is : "Do we humans need the death of a person to realise how much the person has contributed to us and directly/indirectly to the society?"

The recent incident which made this question ponder into my brains was the death of "King of Pop" Michael Jackson. As soon as this news was out, everyone(including me) had their messages tag lines filled with ... "We miss you MJ"... "Rest in Peace MJ"... "MJ u will rock forever"... and so on. People have started googling MJ tracks and are youtubing MJ videos.... and also purchasing MJ Albums....

Google declares enormous increase in the Michael Jackson related searches after his death.

http://watchnbaplayoffs2009.blogspot.com/2009/06/michael-jacksons-death-floods-google.html

Even I did the same... and it got back all the memories of the good old times of my childhood where I grew up listening to his hits.. And making innumerous attempts to get "The moonwalk" right... but what happened after I grew up.. I had forgotten Michael Jackson... He was used in jokes by many of my friends... "Child Molester", "Fake Nose"... etc. were words used for him... and today when he is no more we all are listening to his songs, dancing to them, and missing all the good times the dude gave us.

"What is the effect of death on the human mind??"

A few days back I was having a conversation with a person very close to my heart and I mentioned... how much has life to show us? We have so many experiences and so much learning from it. I suddenly said "What if I was to die tomorrow?".. My friend was wondering I have lost it and gone cuckoo in the head... But looking back in time... how many people on this earth whom we have known have died and still life for us moves on. If we were to sit and think of all the people we know who have died, I'm sure we would be casual about counting them on our finger tips... but the time and moment they died made us cry for them.. And that is was I call as reliving their life with their death...

It’s just like the rebirth of KING OF POP on 25th June 2009.

One who comes has to go... and would never go unless and until completing all the tasks that he/she is here for.....

I would end this post with a question to you all - "Would my death "really" make any difference to your life?"

Keep breathing and Living!!

Yours forever (even after death)!!

Mumbai v/s Thackereys!!

Its been 40 hours since the inhuman terrorist attacks in Mumbai. With the Loss of innocent lives and mental stress to Indians all over the world, all we can do is pray for the souls that have gone and those still under stress and kept as hostage.
During this ordeal, news channels have updated everyone with the activities taking place every minute. However, the channels also mentioned the Visit of major leaders, directors and actors at the place where all this action takes place. Cops, NSG, Army commandos and all major security officials are spending troubled hours to fight against the attackers.
But, The question I would like to ask is, "Where the Hell is RAJ THACKEREY?"... Isn't he the same person who says "MAJHA MAHARASHTRA.... MAJHA MUMBAI"..(MY MAHARASHTRA..... MY MUMBAI).. Where are you hiding now dude?... when Mumbai is under stress he would never ever get out of his hiding location... Today, when the world shows concern towards the attacks in Mumbai and when everyone in and out of India are Glued to their television sets, where are the Thackereys. Is it that they are scared? If so then I would declare them as the biggest bunch of cowards in India... If they cant get out in their self proclaimed "MY AREA" in time of need, then what worth are they. They carry no authority or rights to declare everything to be done as per their say in Mumbai.
Its a shame on Thackereys that when The Honorable Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Gujarat flew down to Mumbai to meet and inspect the surroundings, the Thackereys could not even comment on the situation.
Finally My view on this stays that, with the support of the security officials, Mumbai shall definitely gain power and win over the attackers. However in future, Thackereys need not be given rights to talk about Mumbai being theirs.
India is a country that stands for its unity in diversity and no Raj or Bala Thackerey can ever disturb this unity.

True Love!!

I was wondering "When does one realise that he/she is in love?" I often wonder and also practically see that people fall in love and get married. But most of these Love Marriages never last. The same person who was equivalent to the world once has become a pain after a few years of marriage.
Thinking about it a lot made me draw a conclusion that majority of the Boyfriend/Girlfriend relationships start over with basic attraction…where in one person gets attracted to some particular quality of the other person. Then this attraction leads to greed or possessing that person with the attractive quality. During this process, one changes themselves "so much" just to attract and then possess "their Love". Once possessed, then they start analyzing do I really love this person or not. Their LOVE (Attraction) is possessed and thus they then realise that I have achieved it and am happy. However this happiness seldom lasts as it was not love at all.. All it was.. was attraction.
Thus the reason Love Marriages lead to problems is the attraction factor.

True love according to me is when one grows with it. When you realise that I am spending more valuable time with this person and I’m enjoying every bit of it. It happens when both of them feel the need of one another in life but have never approached each other stating the word Love.. It is much more different than what we see in today’s life where a person attempts to get close to another using their different means - so called date movie, dinner date, long drive, gifts...etc etc ( again can be called as an attempt to attract so that one can possess it)

True Love seeks no attraction or possessiveness.. All it is jus Love.. Like that a mother has for her child. She doesn’t need to attract or possess her child as she already knows this child is mine.
Similarly when one realizes that she/he loves me equally and that she/he is comfortable with my presence, then its true love.

And when this realization hits you, you feel as if you have achieved ultimate bliss. This is the feeling a master/guru invokes in you with the divine love. You feel as though the Love is there for you forever and unchanged.

All those who are in love don't run to posses your love.. Live with it!!

Time to Realize!!!

Someone once said - "Very soon will be a time when Man will kill man for his survival!!"... Has the time come? Is this what we see in our daily life?

Everyday when I turn the pages of the Newspaper or surf through the News Channel, I come across news on death, murder, suicide, bloodshed -LOSS OF LIFE!! Who is to be condemned for this? Terrorist? Media? Illiteracy? Unemployment?

If we say all Terrorism is on a high in this world, the question that arises in my mind is Who is responsible for this? Some might simply say "Terrorists"... The question that I raise here is "Who is a terrorist?"... None among the so called proclaimed terrorists have come out of their mother's womb as a terrorist.. They were born in the similar manner as you, me or any other normal person who might just cross our path... Then what is it that leads them into becoming a so called "TERRORIST".... Next time you see or hear of the word Terrorist, please do make an effort to think why an innocent soul has been converted to someone so dreadful enough to take life / lives without any sort of regrets.

Also, a few might accuse illiteracy and unemployment as a reason to the killing, bombing, murder, rape scenes across the world. But could one define "illiteracy" as the opposite of knowledge that we have acquired with reading books and getting degrees. I would not recognize today’s Modern Education as a source of cutting down the illiteracy. The crime scene that took place in London Shoot out in a University campus by students makes it evident and clear that the act of taking lives does not depend on how literate a person is. Its all about the state of mind of the person where still pertains a little level of innocence which needs to be recognized and praised so as to avoid the flipside of the mind and similar acts.

Does Media play any role in the state that the world is in now? I would say media needs to be much more organized and aware in what they display.. At times when I go on to any Indian News channel, I feel disgusted at the quality of news they cover.. Unwanted questions are asked to unknown people over some not so important topics so as to get the spice in their News channel.. A few years ago during the War in Kargil, where the army was fighting to protect the boundaries between India and Pakistan, the headlines of a local newspaper in India was "India loses one more" and the context was related to the Indian cricket team losing a cricket match... How ignorant can one be?... Think over the News we actually watch and acknowledge only the news that is important... rest can be taken as some entertainment TV Series.
